Tower Construction

Class 6 was divided into two groups. Each had to design and construct a tower as tall as Mr Bichan using newspaper and sticky tape. We used lots of triangles to strengthen our structures.

Inventions

Here is a group in our class working with Knex. We had to make an item from an adventure playground and this group chose a climbing frame. You can see how strong it is because there are lots of triangles in the design.

Inventions

We have been working on some ideas for inventions which would be useful, helpful or fun with Ms Mackay.

Our first task was to combine a couple of machines which already exist to create a new invention. We put a camera and a parachute together to make a 'Parashoot'; a hat and a  television together made a 'Wackyhattie'; a hot air balloon and a bicycle made a 'Bike balloon'; a rocket and a trampoline made a 'Trampo-rocket'; spectacles and a skateboard made a 'Speci-skate-vac' and a kite and a light bulb made a 'Light-my-kite'.

Next, inspired by 'The Wrong Trousers', our inventors went on to devise a full body suit which would have a  useful or fun purpose.

A spy suit with glasses that can see through walls.

A robot which will fulfil all your cleaning needs.

A flying suit for bomb dospisal and clearing minefields.

A suit for deep water marine exploration.

A mountain rescue suit with heat vision goggles for avalanche rescues.

A fun suit - it flies!
